Tatanagar, Jamshedpur, the steel city of India, founded by J.N Tata in the year 1919.It is also the first planned city of the country which began at somewhere in 1900s.Although official data says Chandigarh is the first planned city in the post independence period, Jamshedpur was planned before independence. The city is run and governed by the Tata group.The city has steel plant at its heart with settlements spread out.

Ask any random person here about the place and they will say they are proud of it.When government tried to take over the administration the local people rose to protest.The Tatas sure do take good care of its citizens with 24 hours water and electricity and the seventh cleanest city in India.
