Typical Drama on TV. Review on Jamai Raja

This serial began with a very promising tagline: "iss baar jamai ki baari".

Which means this time its Jamai's turn. This was a deviation from the typical saas bahu kind of soap operas that we've watched on tv for years. But since the very beginning, this serial overdid things.

The cast consists of Ravi Dubey, Nia Sharma and Shruti Ulfat. Ravi Dubey portrays Siddharth'the jamai' who takes it upon him to fix things between his wife and mother-in-law, who can't stand each other. After the first few episodes,

I understood what it was going to be and stopped watching it. But my Mother watches this drama, so I get a glimpse from time to time. I have never seen any happy thing happening on this show. There is always someone dying, someone losing their memory or pretending to, someone coming back after years of being dead, someone in prison and many more unrealistic things keep on happening on a regular basis. The main lead's acting is not at all good, or may be it is just that the role demands him to overact.

This show has nothing new or interesting to offer to its viewers, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I even tried to stop my Mother, but failed miserably. So if you're into this kind of drama, go for it, or else tune into something else.
