This beautiful place no intriduction I am sure every one must be aware of this. This beautiful city of Rajastan is full of life. I had visited this place last november. We had gone for our friends wedding to Jodhpur from there we went to to a two dau trip to Jaisalmer. It was a 8 hrs drive from Jodhpur to Jasialmer long but worth it.

The main attraction to this place is are the forts and the havelis which were built by these rich merchants. The crafting on them is so beautiful that you will wonder how did they do it. The oldest fort here is the 12th century fort called Sonar Quila. There is big story about this place which the guide will explain it to you in full detail. Pls dont visit any forts without the guides you need to know the history behind its making. There other places like Salim Singh ki Haveli,Patwan Ki Haveli ,Nathmal Ji Ki Haveli Tazia tower etc there is a big history behind their making its is very interesting also. Then there is Gadi Sagar a large, placid rainwater lake, bordered by lush greenery. There are many jain temples also which were built by these big rajputs. The hand crafting is worth seeing. Then there are these deserts sam sand dunes and kufri both look the same but the experience is really diffrent. There is mela in februvary which people is excellent but we could'nt see it.

Now lets come to the best part food and shopping. The cusine is typical rajastani food which taste excellent. Both the vegetarian and non vegetarian food is excellent you love every bite of it. They use a lot of Sun dried vegetables and they taste so good.

No matter howmuch ever you shop you will not feel content. from silver jewellary to handicrafts to bandinis to mojdis the list just dosent end. You need to be a good bargainer you will gain a lot.

I had a great time and a wonderful experince. Will always have happy memeories about this city.
