Everytime I wonder why the filmmakers are so anxious to burn their money on such extremly awful movies that make no sense at all, that are so weird that you cannot even imagine that why so mcuh investment on such extremly BAD films.

'Jaagruti' released in 1992 was the first and at till date the WORST film of Salman Khan-Karisma Kapoor's pair. Infact the second film 'Nishchaiy' that was released just after two weeks of Jaagruti was the second film of Salman-Karisma pair and was a disaster but Jaagruti was a flop film and was not a disaster I wonder why as Nishchaiy was a bit better then Jaagruti.

This film 'Jaagruti' came in July 1992 after the continuous failures and disasterous flops of Salman Khan i.e. Love, Surya Vanshi and Ek Ladka Ek Ladki. Trade people and Salman Khan fans were expacting this film to work at box office because of the first time and fresh pair of Salman Khan and Karisma Kapoor, and also because of Karisma's hit status after her successful debut in 'Prem Qaidi' but the film was sooooooo much awful that it sinked in the first week itself.

Script of this film was pathetic. Jugnu (Salman Khan) was a village boy lived near the sea and loved his beloved Karisma Kapoor and then got married with her. One day Salman lost his brother who was killed by some gundaas and Salman was thrown into the sea. A 'JUNGLEE' (a weird man lived in Jungle) who trained Salman for frighting and made him a brave 'Jangju' and thus awaken JAAGRUTI in him. Karisma the poor newly wedded pregnant woman shown upst for almost half of the film because of the absence of her husband and for half of the film Salman's friends tried to make her happy by their antics in joker suits, while Salman kept taking the fight training in the jungle from the JUNGLEE wrapped leaves around himself...... Phewwww I am sure you can now guess that how weird was this film and its storyline.

The direction was no less... there was no coherent screenplay and the scenes jumped like a bumpy ride, the going ons were uninteresting and driest to say the least. Their was no imagination in the story and the script idea seemed to be written by a five year kid.

The only saving grace was the only one song 'Hawa main kia hai khushboo hai' which was picturised also very astheiticaly. Rest of the songs were striclt average and were picturised pathetically.

Performances were horrible. Karisma Kapoor looked extremly weird as an innocent village girl specially when she mouthed the line 'shiki shiki dum dum' after every 10 minutes. The portrayal of a pregnant woman was also very ammeturish. Salman Khan acted extremly artificially and gave huge shocks to his fans who started worshipping him after Maine pyar, baaghi, sanam bewafa and saajan.

Overall Jaagruti was one of the worst films that ever made in indian cinema's history. If you want to knwo that how weird and how bad can bollywood be then do watch Jaagruti on dvd or vcd.

And all those who saw this film, pelase tell and discuss this film and your experience watching this horrible flick.
