It is a mythological picnic spot is situated at chadayamangalam, Kollam. It is a single rock, situated 1000 ft.above sea level, covering an area of around 60 acres. A good climb to reach the top, but interesting and enjoyable. You will be supported by a guide.
There is a temple dedicated to Lord Ram at the top of the rock.
The history says that Ravana abducted Sita to Lanka. Jadayu had tried to rescue Sita from Ravana when Ravana is on his way to Lanka. Jadayu fought valiantly with Ravana, but as Jadayu was very old Ravana soon got the better of him. As Rama and Lakshmana chanced upon the stricken and dying Jadayu in their search for Sita, he informs them of the fight between him and Ravana and tells them that he had gone south. It is believed that Jadayu fell on the rocks in Chadayamanagalam after his wings were chopped off by Ravana
