After continued insistence from a friend of mine that the collection at Jabong is way better than those at Myntra and Flipkart, I decided to try it out. I had to buy a sports shoe for my brother for his Tennis lessons, he had told me to not go for Tennis shoes as he wanted to use it for running and basketball as well.
The design and layout of the site gives impetus to good navigation and it is easy to find the products in the desired categories. In that way, the design looks better than flipkart or Amazon.There ends the good part.
The collection here was very similar to those I found on flipkart and myntra, but there were a few brands which was exclusive on the platform, none of that actually interested me. I was looking for branded stuff, either Adidas or Puma which was common on all the platforms. The prices listed on the site were a bit lesser than the its competitors, so I decided to go for it
I bought a Puma shoe for 2199(Same on flipkart was at Rs 2399, a good 200 bugs more).The delivery was supposed to happen within 4-5 working days. But to my angst, I did not get it even after a week. I called up the customer care and asked them to check my order, they said that they were out of inventory in the mentioned color, but to my surprise the tracking system mentioned'On the Way', how can something be'On the Way' and not available at the same time? They told me that it was a technical fault and they would send a product of a different color, I said Im fine with that and I would require it within 2-3 days, but that was again delayed by over a week and I had to buy one from a nearby showroon because it had arrived late. Plus, the shoe seems to be of a very inferior quality, no something that you expect from a brand like Puma, I had to return it anyways.
So overall my maiden experience with Jabong has been somewhat of a disaster. No going back there now
