I shop online really frequently mostly because it's more convenient than trying to shop at a crowded mall on the weekend.(I don't mind the crowds as much as I mind having to wait at a trial room, wait to pay at the counter, etc.) Also, you get better offers online than in stores. And some websites, like myntra.com, make shopping online a complete, hassle-free pleasure.
However, jabong.com makes me think subjecting myself to a crowded mall and waiting outside crowded trial rooms, and then waiting to pay at a crowded counter is a lot more convenient than shopping online if it's going to be with jabong.com and their terrible customer policies.
Jabong's policies and procedures are not at all customer friendly like the policies of myntra.com are. For example, they don't have a size exchange policy like Myntra does. Not only that, Jabong will suddenly stop offering return pickups in certain areas - while this is understandable in small towns, it's not acceptable in Mumbai. Then, if you arrange for a return through a courier yourself, their returns department will reject the order continuously and you'll have to keep calling the customer service people, all of whom are clueless, keep reiterating your problem and explaining what happened, to be told they'll get back to you.
You can send all the mails you like to their customer service, but apparently the people at Jabong can't read mails - you'll just get an automated response and a few days later another clueless customer service person will call and ask what the problem is. Try reading my mails instead of repeatedly calling and disturbing me during office hours.
After this ordeal, when the returns department finally accepts the return, to the relief of both you and the courier service you used, they will take forever to figure out what was included in the return - despite the fact that the original bills were enclosed in the package along with the return ids that the jabong people had sent to you.
While some of their offers are really tempting, after my recent experiences with Jabong and after having been hassled by them while I was at work, and still with no resolution in sight, I've decided to never shop at jabong.com ever again.
A bit of an extra discount might sound good, but when they hassle you so much and waste so much of your time, you'll really question whether the discount was worth it - they don't realize time is money and if they waste people's time, people will just stop shopping at jabong.com, particularly when sites like myntra.com provide remarkably better service and customer support.(And no, I'm not being paid by Myntra to say this - I'm speaking from my wonderful experience with them across over 60 orders).
For now I've given up on trying to talk to the aggravating customer service people at jabong.com. I've raised a dispute with my credit card regarding the unfulfilled order and I leave it to them to sort it out. They've wasted enough of my time - learn from my mistakes and try not to let the same thing happen to you!
