When you hear these offers online you always think, where do they get money do this. Well few like Jabong take the route of scamming. Idea is if they can scam 70% of the customers and they still offer the discount to 30%, it still makes good business sense. Take example of my ORDER NO.: 141211294379423 for Lee - Navy Blue Regular Fit Jeans(Macky).
They offered 50% cashback. Between Jan 15 and March 15 they sent multiple emails advising there is some delay in processing cashback please wait. Jabong expected most will forget the cashback. After 6 months I followed up and was told right away cashback is your bank problem, go talk to them.
Followed up three more times, then they agreed they will give the cashback but for that I need to provide all my bank and credit card statement for the year to prove I have not received the cashback. I am like, you have no record of what you earned and what you paid, and why all card and bank statements, why not just the card I used to purchase. I refused to provide all statements.
Eventually I never got the cashback. Lessons learned, avoid Jabong, there are sites offering better service. And go for discount on the cart itself instead of cashback.
