Plot: Aditya has a heart break as his girlfriend is getting married to someone else. So, he decides to go away from his current situation. He boards a train for an unknown destination. Onboard he meets Geet who keep him pestering with her anecdotes. Geets tells him about her own love life and her plans of love marriage to Anshuman. He tries to avoid her but storyline keeps her pushing towards him again and again. So, he decides to tackle her first rather than nurturing his own broken heart. He walks into her life and forgets his pain completely for the moment. He visits her family and spends sometime with them, where he is drawn closer to Geet. However, Geets elopes to her boyfriend in Manali. Of course, Aditya promised to help her in her escape and did that too but he starts liking Geet immensely. He comes back to his past life and starts resurrecting it to reach a new heights, with effervescent spirits. He was happy and booming with energies when a new annocement comes as a rude shock. Geet's uncle tell him that Geet has been missing since the time two went absconding. So, he assures them that she is safe and will return to her family soon. He goes back to Manali and from there he traces gloomy Geet staying in Shimla, after she gets rejected by her boyfriend Anshuman. So, he tries to uplift her spirits and resolves the differences between her and Ashuman. He accompanies them to her family. But, a big confusion ruptures their life this time. Geet's family think Aditya and Geet were in love. So, they decide to get them married. This create confusion and a hilarious drama in the lives of Anshuman, Geet and of course Aditya. In the end, Geet also starts feeling that she is drawn to Aditya and ditches Anshuman. And the movie end with a sweet love note for the audiences.
Recommendation: YES. I had planned to go to Siddhivinaayak and Haji Ali but landed up under a banner-ad of an Astvinayak - Imtiyaz Ali duo creation... this is JAB WE MET happened! You search on which channel it is being aired on now... Watch it if you haven't. Also, buy the music CDs..Its one of the best music ever types.
Moral and Morale: Shiv Khera naa sahi Shahid Kapoor hi sahi.. "Saadi band baj chuki hai, issse bura kuch nahin hogaa ab sirf accha hi accha hoga.. aur hum karke dikhaayenge"....
As if someone is listening: I was not even a minutest admirer of Kareena. Nor that of Shahid (ahem... a little to be honest) But, I have seen them perform before.. on my mobile.. Yes, they did it beautifully.. I am not reviewing to the finer details as everyone must have seen it by now and those who haven’t will never care anyways. Shahid-Kareena.. Hats off to you both.. Saumya! Why all Tandon girls so ROOPmati? I will always be in love with a specific Tandon. Anshuman..Hello oye yeh ho kya rahaa hai. Saari damdaar performances. What I like more is the fact movie is shot in INDIA..Kullu Manali.. Only Heaven on earth.. Beautiful locations, good dialogues, No non-sensical cheap comedy, one-liners, everything up to the mark.. Transition from the usual love stories.. This is something I can believe.. Isse bolte hein luv story.. Woh story jisse love ho jaaye... OK..That was suffice.. I m flooded with emotions.. Let me blew my nose and come back. Tata!
