Story:

I don't remember ever reading anything like this.

It was read by my friend in Patna who bought it from https://flipkart.com and recommended it to me. Since I was in Calcutta, I chose to check out at Crossword if it was available. It was available but I really did not like the attitude of the salesmen who tried to push sale 'Johnny Gone Down', which I have already read.

I wouldn't have certainly purchased this book, 'Jab se you have loved me...' hadn't my friend told me about it. The author S.R.Saha is never heard before and though the tagline 'the story of an Airhostess and an IITian' sounded interesting, I thought that it was one of those mushy 'Mills and Boon' type of love story with which the market is now flooded. I assumed to be a story of a long drawn love story of an Airhostess and an IIt guy who finally breaks off amidst sobs and lots of emotional atyachar.

But I found the book to be refreshingly different. In fact I never thought that an Indian writer can write so beautifully. It starts off with an interview and is a story of every young Indian. The story flows like a river, and you simply turn the pages. There is not a single boring moment, not a single repetition and the characters are so real that you get engrossed in the story.

The story also speaks volumes about how important friendship is. Though, at the end the author has simply allowed his imagination to run riot it nevertheless has a plausible ending. In fact, this is one book where the author has connected all the loose ends to make a perfect ending. I loved the take off on the Americans, though the protagonist's airhostess girlfriend getting lost in an island is surely written with a filim in mind.

I loved this book and honestly I can say unequivocally that one shouldn't miss this one.
