Simplicity at its best. This is what I will say if I have to describe this movie in one sentence.
Story is simple. A boy and a girl like each other’s company. So they spend maximum time with each other. Not thinking of anything else, not about their future, their relationship or anything else. But surprise surprise, college gets over their parents are thinking of their relationship they say no to marry each other. And so they are looking for another partner for marriage . and when they see them with another person , then only they realize that they love each other. And then another surprise, boy proposes girl and she says yes and THE END! They live happily.
Nothing new in the story, abbas tyrewala has not included money or career or any other aspects of life. It deals with only with relationship rather honest and clean relationship between a boy and a girl at college days. Yes there are different characters and they have done a good job too like relationship of Genelia with her brother is very special very interesting and deserves a special applaud , but it is all about jay (Imran khan) and Genelia (Aditi) and their relationship, you may call it friendship or love or both.
So is it a good movie? Welllllll, my answer is yes, it is in fact a very good movie.A youthful film, with well narrated script, every character is special. Script deals with only different type of characters which are very well described and are heart of movie. For genelia every thing is extreme a girl with violence and full of energy, jay a nonviolent boy, genelia’s brother a very strange, pure, honest character and he is an artist and others are too very well described. In fact they are shown in such a detail that you can relate yourself or your relatives with them.You can understand and feel their feeling. And so you will be happy when they are happy and vice versa. Script and humor are true winners of movie.
One thing deserves a special notation is jay’s character. His genes are of rajput who believes in violence and he is brought up in non violent environment. So they are conflicting and result is strange dreams which jay see while sleeping. This shows the detailing of characters of movie.
Music is very good, obviously what can I say about A.R.Rehman, his work speaks for himself.
If you still want reason to watch this movie than let me tell you there is one very good concept in the movie – “Ranjore ka Rathore” and Mr Nasruddin’s character. Go see the movie, find it out and have a fun. It is a treat to watch.
