Here is the review for another teen magazine/newspaper..whatever.
JLT
The acronym JLT stands for Just Like That. Its a fortnightly magazine/newspaper..whatever published by The Times Of India Group. At one point of Time The Times Of India was The finest and the most honoured news paper Of India. I remember teachers in my school asking us to read it to improve our English Vocabulary. I seriously doubt if the teachers of today will tell the students to read the newspaper today. A paper for whom Shilpa Shetty's father getting arrested is more newsworthy then more then 1000 people dying due to severe heat stroke in Andhra Pradesh should definitely check its credentials. That JLT is its newspaper/magazine..whatever for an average Indian Teenager is the proof that The Times Of India Publication is going from Bad to worse.

Absolutely nothing new. Same old articles about movie Reviews, Jokes (Most of it we can find on the internet or forwarded emails), Contests, Debates (Most of them are between The Guy and The Girl on range of excellent issues like should we go dutch on a date to why guys wont understand women or vice - versa). They have posters which are fairly good and the cover page will always have a hot babe most of the times.
They have contests which gives tickets to new English movies in town, most of which are out after first week. The Language used is once again, like JAM, not Queens English but fairly passable. The least these people could do would be to improve the language content. I will give you an example.

Needless to say you guys must be pigging out this summer, after all it's holiday time. But what happens when you gotta get back to college, and can't squeeze into your jeans anymore?
Pigging out?? What does that mean?? Pig is a noun and CANNOT be used as an adverb. They are going against the basic rules of English Language.
Between JAM and JLT I find JAM to be slightly better because it has fairly decent content then JLT. The only good thing about JLT is the Price. Just Rs 2 for something which comes once in a fortnight. I suggest it is worth it. I mean, RS 4 a month wont make any average Indian teenager poor. Think about the good thing, you are helping a company and indirectly helping their employees. You are doing a great social service for Just Rs 4 a month.
