You 'Ken' Win. Review on Ishq Vishk

Ken Ghose who earlier made his mark as a music video's director and later with the critically acclaimed real life serial 'Missing' is now out with his first Bollywood offering.

The Cast -

Shahid Kapoor - Seeing his penchant for SRK's antics he could be referred as SKR i.e ShahidKapooR . Heard he's Pankaj kapoor's son , if this is right then this is very wrong.He is 'Main Frame(figure) ka deewana hu' in the movie.

Amrita Rao - No relation whatsoever with N.T.Rama Rao or Sunita Rao.She essays the role of your next door neighbour ,essaying the role of CollBehanJi(CBZ)

Shenaz Treasurywala - Alisha(not chinoy ,affectionately called Ali, Mohammed Ali and she actually looked like one with SKR.

Mambo - number 5.

The storyline -

There are two 'fevicolic' friends SKR and Mambo .dono ko kabhi koi ladki ghaas nahi dalte hai so they make it their aim in life - ladki patao,railgadee

and be happy (exactly in that order).CBZ bachpan se hi SKR se 'wo' karte hai(kafe bade bachee thi bachpan se hi !!)

but she won't say him anything and is in the 'Read My Lips'Mode.Lekin SKR is not that 'down to earth' i.e 'gira hua aadmi' to fall in love with behanji.

Mambo falls flat for the kaam-wale-bai Kamla ,who sings the song'Maar Dala' in an innovative X-rated tone. Kamla taiyar..Mambo bhi hamle ke liye taiyar..lekin SKR stops him midway(midway meins in the Biginning OK?).SKR get's ready for 'neli' ...enters dad..remote controller( now you know why this device was made)..Discovery channel...Dad acts'Buddy-buddy' and tries to explain some 'bade-bade' battein to his 'innocent' son [watch out for this extremely hilarious scene]...dad ke chakker mein SKR 'neli' nahi dekh pata hai aur uske 'shiksha' adhuri reh jate hai .

If you wanna join us you are most welcome but you can't come alone and will have to bring a partner with you. ab bechare SKR aur Mambo partner kahan se laye. .. enters LoveGuru (we have seen this guy enacting a very similar role in the movie Kuch toh hai, and he does it well again )..CBZ hai na . with the active help of LG SKR proposes CBZ and all's well[ yet another hilarious scene]and they are in the party..well, in the party aadat se baaz nahi aata hai SkR aur tries to do some 'kaam ki baat' with CBZ.. phir kya tha , they wash dirty linen in public and frighten the horses.Relation meon rukawat jiske liye dono mein se kise ko bhi koi kheed nahi hai...SRK vows

'main kuch ban ke dikhonga' the in-demand girl will be with me, he thundered. Enters Alisha..Ali's with SKR courtsy Nakli Sachin.

Mambo aur SKR mein solid Dhissom-dhissom over CBZ. SKR thinks that Mambo is trying to play'haan maine bhi pyar kiya' with CBZ...secret unfolds..actually SKR too loves CBZ 'dil hi dil mein' but never knew this probably because 'ye aander ki baat thi'. Tears,Senti dialogues aur phir patch up. Pack up.

Pros - Considering that all the lead actor/actresses were marking their debut they all have done a fairly good job.With Ken around you won't have any dearth of catchy one-liners.Music is OK and a few songs are OK.Movie is a healthy time-pass fare .Nothing new to offer but

entertaining nonetheless.

Cons - with Ken around one was expecting much more than what he actually offered.The climax was jerky and give a feeling as everything ended in a jiffy 'jaise kise ne railgadee(which means train here , mind you) pakadne ho.Not sure whether any of the lead actor/actresses will be able to make it big in future despite doing a good job esp SKR & Amrita Rao.
