Even the railway department, kindly note that world is watching about the Indian pride website which was once up on a great asset for all Indians. Now its unimaginably slow as well as general web users are almost sure that they will not be able to do Tatkal reservation through web. The major point is that now IRCTC has given leased lines to many travel agents who sucks the bandwidth of the reservation server.
And these travel agents charge bomb for each ticket. At Bangalore its around RS 200 to RS 300 per person in single ticket. That is if 3 people are travelling in single ticket, they charge around RS600 to RS900 per ticket. When I asked one travel agent, he said IRCTC has given him a leased agent line ata cost of 5 lakhs + bribe. I do not mind the bribe part as that in our blood now. But at least IRCTC should think for general public than Agents.
Few IAS officers who took this initiative to make the railway reservation online are actually brilliant, but now making it available with a QOS to a country like India. is there any brave heart?
Indian Railway guys are you listening?
