IRCTC could be the slowest site as compared to any site in the internet plus the customer care services are pathetic.
My experience using this site is listed below:
1) Slowest as compared to any site and connection can be failed while doing any transaction between.
2) Many a times keep trying for 2-3 days for booking the ticket as site may be down. This site is only for the use of booking tickets in advance and is totally useless for Tatkal quotas.
3) If the amount is not reversed for ticket cancellation, then IRCTC will not share the transaction number with us to follow up with bank nor they will do it by their own.
4) Send a mail with 2 or 3 queries and wait for years unless you get a reply/ solution for all the queries.
5) Only if you are lucky, then will be able to reach customer care at One try else devote your own time to reach customer care.
With IT developed to a greater extent in today's world, not sure what complications the central govt. is facing to overcome this problem since so many years.
