Subhash Ghai movies are always in news whether they have content of public appeal or not. One thing always being highlight of his movies is music of his movies, which is always nice and something special. His last directorial venture Kisna is one example of this. Now he is producing Iqbal under a newly launched banner Mukta Searchlights Ltd. The movie having Naseeruddin Shah as the only famous lead cast. The music of movie released last week, by chance I got the CD and listened it and decided to write on it. All in all the album has 7 songs with different composers contributed their musical experiences.
Aashayein
Salim-Suleiman
Irfan Siddique
KK & Salim
Kaal was their last musical venture and it was successful due to upbeats and fast music now they come up with an inspirational song called Aashayein. They firstly made a background theme of this music and later on demand of producer/director SS made a full song out of it. It is a very good song in the end and have some very strong lyrics not in a sense of poetry but inspiration to move up. The song is so that everyone will like it and in the movie it will be exact fit.
Aankhon Mein Sapna
Himesh Reshammiya
Sameer
Ravindra Upadhyay
Channel [V] Super Singer Ravindra sing the song. I remember the episode of the programme when all contestants sung the song and Ravindra sung it in style later he won the challenge and appeared as super singer of the contest. The song is not only inspirational but also having some very good music and one likes to play it more and more. Wishing Ravindra success in future as he is a good talent.
Mutthi Mein Hai Aasmaan
Kedar-Sarosh
Vimal Kashyap's
KK
KK these days is more sensible and sings songs which make some sense and his all coming songs are making buzz. This song is again the continuation of the album and inspirational one giving the courage to catch the skies even with Josh. Nice composition and will be a reasonable song to liusten for next month or so.
Khelenge Khelenge
Sukhwinder Singh
Subhash Ghai
Sukhwinder Singh & Sunidhi Chauhan
Lyrics are simple and say to win the game that we play and win. Sukhwinder composed in his usual style and gives a feeler that he always have the good bank of tunes. Sunidhi also sung the song as separate and she is too good in her version of song. The best part is the pace of the song which is too fast and one like it due to the fast music. The same kind of comments by for the song that it will stay in for coming month or so after that it will disappear as most situational song do.
Paani
Sukhwinder Singh
Subhash Ghai
Sukhwinder Singh, Shweta Pandit & Suresh Wadkar
Nice to see Suresh back in action singing Sukhwinder’s tune accompanied by Shweta & Sukhwinder himself. Another nice track showing the continuation of the album and not breaking its tempo too. The song is not kind of cart buster but has some appeal which will be appreciated by few in itself it is one very good musical experience.
Maula
Amartya-Shriram
Indraneel
Shriram
To continue the album we have this track. A good song with some change music and vocal as Shriram sings it in style. The best part is its lyrics which is a pray. These kind of songs appeals a class of people and produced only for them.
Tum Tana
Shriram
Shriram’s all-round performance is impressive a western influence in the song is pleasant and reminds Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s Taa Deen. it is a classical tune and needs time to get on to you. You listen to it more and will love it more. A likeable song rare in music these days.
On the whole the album provides us what it promises as it is on Inspiration theme and it continues its pace through out the album that is good. Aashayein & Aankhon Mein Sapna are the strong part in the album. I would suggest if you could not able to buy the album listen to these two songs at least as these are not to missed. Kind of must have by music lovers. Subhash Ghai’s involvement is always proved bright in the music and this time too Iqbal gives us some of good music not to be remembered for years but be loved for coming months.
