All who are wishing to save their time by buying tickets online using iplt20.com BE AWARE.. basically the service is provided by ticketgenie.in but I think the officials of iplt20 are equally responsible for allowing those fraud people to cheat the IPL lovers.
We bought 4 tickets online.. when we reached the venue on 3rd april brebourne mumbai.. we were told that we have to exchange the online voucher with tickets .. searching for the desk got us to empty table the people had left at 6.00 though the match was supposed to start at 8.00. The security guard asks us to go to law college to pick up tickets. We could not find anyone at that place either. So people were shuttling back and forth between Brebourne gate no.10 and law college. All desperate and frustrated, families with kids with high hopes of watching their favourite team MI playing.
Okay, we were not alone we had atleast 15 other people with 4+ tickets. One couple had bought 10000 Rs ticket. And the person with 10000Rs/ticket had come 4 times on different days to collect the ticket still he was not given the ticket.. so he had read the fine print but of no use.The fine print, which said you have to pick up the tickets upto one day prior to match. Now if I had that much time to go around Mumbai (when you know due to all road, metro, water pipeline works it takes forever), why would I buy online tickets.
The funny and frustrating thing is we get a call at around 5.45 froma con-gentleman that he has our tickets and asking us whether we are coming. We said we are on our way stuck in traffic we will be there by 6.15 .. we could not trace the person as he switched of his phone later.. most of the people who were in same situation had got similar call.. so its racket where they call you, confirm and then sell off your tickets..
So we managed to get the manager or authorized person who call the Mr. Dharmraj may be a manager of tktgenie and he yelled at him saying "Dharmraj, this is happening everyday, , I had told you to keep your people till the end of the match.. where is ashok.." .. so after going in circles.. they just could not get those people to deliver the tickets which we had paid for.... SO THIS WAS EVERYDAY AFFAIR
Ticketgenie Mgr Dharmraj or Ashok.. if you guys are reading .. you owe my kids an apology and refund our money..
IPLT20 Mr Modi -- stop those con people
SO what are the lessons learned..
Don't buy from iplt20.com or genie
Buy from bookmyshows.com.. as there counter was open till we were fighting for our tickets which was 8.30 p.m.
internet shopping in India.. be extra careful..
I hated the overall experience as I had taken my 2 kids and could not look into their eyes as their hearts were broken. I never had this experience as I never promised something which I could not deliver..
