A dark and sensitive series which skims through the fringes of life and death. The series is very character-driven where almost all character's life seems to be hanging by a thread. Its a compilation of Inu yasha, a half-demon'sĀ adventures where he tries to establish his identity. The series has succesfully created a framework of desire, passion, worldly torture and discovery of oneself.
Inu yasha has numerous sub-plots so its storyline cannot be limited to few words. Definately worth watching, with charming characters such as Kagome, the female lead caught up in the past era, Sango, the strong-willed demon slayer, Miroku, a lecherous monk, Kikyo, a priestess revived from her death, also former lover of Inu yasha, Sesshoumaru, Inu yasha's half-brother who unlike him, is a full-demon.it has a complex storyline which keeps our interest.
As for characters, what is beautiful about them is that they are not stereotypical. You can feel each of theirs anguish, confusion, turmoil. Having said this, inu yasha's character appears a little flat, as compared to characters like Sango, or kikyo who have depth.
