Perfumes are powered to trigger emotions and change our personalities. I love using perfumes and now I can’t leave my house without a little dab of it.
Everyone has their own choice and taste for perfumes based on their individuality. Though my strong suggestion is that no one should be a follower in this regard, still I would like to name a few brands which I prefer mostly like Intuition by Estee Lauder, Jadore from Christian Dior, Remember me from Christian Dior. These perfumes are slightly expensive but are really worth the cost you pay. Each of these has a unique fragrance. Jadore has a little strong fragrance and should be avoided for office use.
I would also like to share a few tips on selection and application of perfumes:
Selection:
First of all, there is a lot of confusion on the difference between Cologne, eau de toilette, & perfume. Eau de cologne is the least concentrated form of a fragrance, and then comes the eau de toilette, followed by the eau de perfume, and finally the most concentrated, the perfume.
1.When you are shopping for a fragrance, go alone. Smelling a perfume unlocks memories and feelings that are personalized. If you get along a friend, she would always try to influence you with her preference of fragrance, and her likes and dislikes. What you eventually buy will no longer remain your personal decision or liking.
2.Likewise, never buy a fragrance based on what it smells like on a friend. It makes a lot of difference on our genes, the diet, and our temperament affect our own personal smell and the way fragrances interact with it.
3.If you have problems in making up your mind about the perfume you really want, ask for samples from fragrance counters. This way, you can try out several times before you actually buy one.
4.Avoid spraying fragrance on to your clothes. The smell of the fabric will mix with the fragrance and it declines its original fragrance.
5.Don't spray on too much perfume. After all, you don't want to overpower the people who come into contact with you.
Application:
1.Apply fragrance to your pulse points which are areas on your skin where blood flow is strongest and the skin is warmest such as: wrist, behind the ear, chest, neck, behind the knee and inside the elbow.
2.Layer your fragrance for long-lasting wear
3.It may be necessary to re-apply your fragrance after 3-4 hours.
