Hey people.before I would start .let me tell u before hand.this movie might not be appealing to whole lot of people.n frankly speaking I dont give a damn about it.but to some .this movie just penetrates right through the body .and hits the soul.and leaves you in some kind of a haunting, unsatisfied kind of feeling.its makes you want to go on a spiritual quest of your own.away from this chaotic society.into nature.to enlighten you .about the various elements around us.that we tend to ignore.can give us so much happiness!
this movie is based upon a real life story of a 28 yr old man named Christopher McCandless a.k.a. Alexander Supertramp as he likes to call himself.this whole story is narrated by his sister whio happens to be the only one he loves in his familly.his parents seem materialistic.manipulative to him.he leaves on his long journey .without anyone knowing about it.without leaving any traces.travels through various places.admiring the beauty of mother nature.meets different people(who make the story come alive).they try their best to convince him to return back home.but somehow.they just arent able to shatter his ultimate goal of reaching alaska.and living amidst nature.and yes he manages to each there.
the dialogues in the movie.the lines he keeps writing in his diaries do their work on you.make you think out of the box.the movie is beautifully picturized.so simple yet so serene.the end however is disturbing.coz just when he realizes the meaning of life.he has mistakenly eaten a poisonous plant root and he starves to death.his body being found 2 wks later.
its a movie that has its own class.get a dvd.watch this movie FAST.and do write ur own reviews too.
