Outlook MONEY
Outlook money magazine is a publication from the Outlook group. It started about 5.5 years ago as Outlook money and I have been reading it since then.
Creating a category: Before OM there was hardly any magazine focusing on personal finance was available? We had 2 kinds of magazine in business one talking about Industry and economy and other focusing on Stock Markets. Which left a huge gap in the personal finance space. OM in its previous avtar as Intelligent Investor filled that big hole.
The focus of the magazine is an individual and her finances.
To give honest, unbiased opinion about various financial products available in market is the objective of the Magazine.
The big plus of OM is that it has something for everybody no matter what your financial position or age is. It has articles about smart spending on consumer goods for the middle class and it also has articles on how to splurge on a luxury cruise without killing your budget.
But the best part is it does not focus on stock market or any one financial product like Bonds or LIC etc. It educates a person to have a holistic picture of finances and look at the future needs. This way a person is prepared for the coming needs that will be there after 2,5,10 15 etc years.
It prepares you how to prepare for any financial emergencies arising due to medical or financial problems e.g. loss of a job or diagnosis of a major ailment.
Over all it is a good magazine which any body who is interested in keeping up to date in today?s fast changing financial world must read. They also have an online version available at https://outlookmoney.com. There you can take paid opinion from some experets. e.g Tax, Property etc. I have not tried this service so am unable to comment on that.
It also has a celebrity section at the end which gives money habits of various famous people mainly Actors or artists, though I would like to see some of our top politicians tell us what they do with their money.
