This website provides comparison between products. That is the ONLY thing you should use it for.
If you buy, it asks you to first register with all possible information about yourself, and of your family members, (If youre taking a health insurance policy for family). Then it asks you to pay the premium of the policy chosen by credit card or other options.
Once payment is done, the website sends an email with a form for the health insurance, which YOU need to first print the form (Which means you need to have access to a printer), then fill the form, put photos, sign, and then scan the form (Which means you need to have access to a scanner as well) OR you can courier it to their Mumbai Office(Which means you pay extra for courier.
All this is simply avoided, if you choose the insurance you want to buy from this site. Then CALL the insurance Toll free Number and ask for an agent to visit you. He will take care of the rest. Simple!
Hence, use this site ONLY to compare, NOT buy,
UPDATE 11/July 2008: I guess mouthshut.com removed some of the comments and my responses of my review due to personal information on it. Anyways here is the communication with the CEO of insurancemall.in as response to the comment he posted on my review:

You may have put incomplete story. First, have you bought the policy from India InsuranceMall? Let me share with you and others what actually happens at https://InsuranceMall.in .
By Law, (Govt. of India and IRDA), the applicant for Life and Health Insurance has to sign the Proposal Form and thus the pain of getting a hard-copy. You and I can’t do much about it. Yes, for Travel Insurance, Student Insurance & other retail Insurance, it can be managed without physical signature. So, if you bought the Health policy, then you must sign it so that your choice Insurance Company pays the claim if any.
Why PDF? Because it will reach you quick to reduce the operational time.
Courier? If you bought the policy from InsuranceMall, then you don’t have to do any thing. We have all India tie-up with Bluedart and we will pick up all the docs, hence not sure, if your version is right.
Why InsuranceMall? India's first neutral Compare and BuyNow online site. Your agent can’t give your Product Comparison across Insurance companies or Profession advice or Claims service what Bonsai InsuranceMall is geared to do.
Still, if you bought the policy and felt that we have not managed your expectation well, then I am all ears for you. Pls. let me know, when did you buy the policy and what else could we do to win you back?

I spoke to our Director eBusiness - Mr . He is very much aware of your concerns and promised me that things are under control.
Trust me, it is not about Apollo DKV or choices but satisfaction to our On line Customer which is what we endeavor or cherish at InsuranceMall.
Preciously for this reason, you would not find a single complaint at MouthShut or any other forum on Bonsai InsuranceMall's promise and delivery gap despite thousands of customers we have served so far.
Honestly, If you ask me, as we do with USA InsuranceMall, we should be doing the same in India but Govt. of India / IRDA / Insurance companies are still not process friendly or Online friendly, hence still tons of wasteful paper-work. We are trying our best to reduce the post sales activity to the minimum except signatures etc. A bare form would have reached you as we have found most of our customers changing macro-micro level health details etc. at last minute.
