Definitely not the based distance learning institute in India. Frustrating issues in dealing with the IMT CDL:
- POOR STUDENT SUPPORT: Helpline number 1-800-2001063 RARELY works for students. TRY IT. 9 out 10 times you will NEVER get through to ANYONE.
There IS NO two-way written communication. There is NO email ID to send emails to. The only way is to fill up an online form and god forbid if your query is urgent. They have a turnaround time of 4 working days. Once they respond with a line or two and if you have a follow-up question/or are not satisfied with the answer - you cannot write back. The email ID the response is sent from, is unattended.
So, you have to refill an online form again(word limit < 500) - fill your follow up query and wait for another 4 working days for them to respond, at leisure.Moreoever, there is NO escalation mechanism available.
PERSISTENT TECHNICAL ISSUES: Their online classroom/assignment delivery is full of technical glitches, as highlighted in other reviews on MouthShut.
NO INTIMATIONS ABOUT EXAMS ETC, .: There is NO intimation via SMS/emails about the upcoming deadlines; since such courses are meant for working people it is a minimum expectation to provide some'push' communication, rather than insisting on students getting information from a poorly designed website.
One is DOOMED, if a deadline is MISSED. There is this FRUSTRATING insistence for payment of reappearing fees via demand drafts DD. Because of this rather ARCHAIC insistence on DD payment method, many students miss their deadlines.
If one gets delayed in getting DD made for any reason(work-related travel, bank holidays, arrival of a baby etc.), one would have already missed the payment window, and will get delayed by as much as a semester. There are online payments, but not for everything.
IMT CDL care very little after you enroll and have paid the fee. They care only about your MONEY!
Don't bother wasting your time here. If you need learning or advancement in your career, opt for courses from international universities. Try Coursera.org, Edx.org or Udacity.com.
Hope this review is an eye opener for all the stakeholders - the IMT management, and the prospective students looking to put their hard earned money and time.
