Story:

Insomnia is till date the worst Stephen King book I've ever read (let me know if I missed anything worse). The book has all the necessary King ingredients. But the concept of people travelling to another level of consciousness didn't quite sound something Stephen King would write about.

Ralph Roberts is a widower and he is now suffering from Insomnia. He wakes up early and early every day. Then, the starts seeing strange things. He starts to see some visually magnificent auras around people. All this happens while the Ralph's small town is divided into two - anti-abortion and pro-abortion groups. When would Ralph finally sleep? Who are those three bald doctors roaming around with scalpels? What is going on at other levels? Can Ralph stop a madman from massacring thousands of people?

This book is not as good as other Stephen King books, plus it's bigger than others. The seems to be dragged to meet some minimum page requirement. If you haven't read any other Stephen King book, don't start with this one.
