Hi All,

Thanks for reviewing my review.

I'm adding more info, as it was my first review for a book, I didn't put much.

( it would be helpful if someone could tell what kind of info I should put, I'll just put whtever comes to my mind... pls tell me if I should improve somewhere)

First, writing style of author : language used is very simple. Not like other english novels where u need dictionary in ur hands. The simplicity of writing just catches ur attention.

At times, this book shows his typical indian attitude, who thinks e'body is after his life @ america, ppl r spying him. e'body is gazing at him. And then he gradually understands that no one has time to look at what he does. a boy who suddenly becomes mature in 1 year in america .. which , he himself says, didn't happen in 20 years of his town life ( at Madhya Pradesh ) in india.

I heard author has written some more books of this kind, but not this much popular.

Pls feel free to give ur comments ...

Deepak

--------------ORIGINAL REVIEW---------------------------

Hi everybody there,

I was just going thru collection of books at crossword, when my friends suggested me to read this book. instead of buying, I read few pages there only. and lo! shop's closing time came and I didn't know how 1 hour passed.... then I had a look at price tag, it was just 95. And I bought it. And believe me, it was worth money paid for it. In some 1 and half week I finished it. And it was so mesmerizing ....

I had got a habit to read it at end of the day.... a very pleasing experience to read it. The story is about an indian boy who came frm a village to do higher studies in America. The way he writes english is very comical and very indian... it just tickles u....

You would unconsciously wish that Gopal (central character) must have pleasure of losing his virginity in America, which he starts needing. And at last, when it happens, Gopal as well as we take a sigh of relief and pleasure, as if something bad would happen if he didn't do so..

It's not a story, its an array of events rather, which happen in gopal's life after he reaches america. And you'll always wait for what will happen next. So, it will never let u bored and will always keep u curious.

A movie is made on this novel.

Also, it will give u a good insight into the American life.

Go for it! I've hardly finished books that I've bought. It's the second I've finished. Its good.

Deepak
