The moment you hear multiplex, the first thing that comes to your mind is... large spacious seats, state of the art audio system, cafeteria, etc. A multiplex is all about quality and hospitality.

However, Bangalore's (strangely) first multiplex comes nothing close to any of the above things. At first, you would be stunned (read shocked) by its dry rough facade, I do not know what the architect had in his mind while designing it.

When you go a little closer and try to see what all movies are being shown currently you are in for a good confused surprise. The multiplex is supposed to have 4 screens with some screens running two different movies, so the end result is there are about 7-8 posters of current movies plus 3-4 for the next change, which movie is being played at what time and at which screen? Every screen has a different timing and a different show. I understand this is true for all the multiplexes in the world but our INNOVATIVE friends have found a way to create a mess and confuse the poor innocent layman like you and me.

Finally you some how manage to identify and decide which movie you have to watch... there are total 6-7 counter... each with usual long lines... now my friend which line is of which show? Are you getting the point? The innovative management has created a big mess out of simple things. I have seen 4 movies over there so far and I am still confused... each time they change the rules.. sometimes you can buy any ticket from any window or sometimes you cant.

Anyways... once you have the ticket and you go inside... you'd be struck by its stark, naked interior... bright awkward color combination. There is some kind of collage on the pillars... though its good, it lacks quality... and I wonder what would happen with passage of time...

Now its time to get into the theater... once you are inside and if you forget to remember the screen number of your movie then its very difficult to actually know which screen is running which movie... you have to go on asking, ''bhayia... ye abcd movie kahan lagi hai... '' and if you are lucky the guard would understand Hindi/English, otherwise your life is again gone for a toss.

You somehow manage to end up in the right theater... you would be bowled over by rude RED curtains/drapes hanging unevenly on the walls... makes you feel its a good setting for a Horror LIVE show! Seems like I am sitting in some tent house and watching the movie! (Update: These have been fixed now, still do look that good)

But my friend the worst part is still to come... the movie starts... a serious scene... hero's brother sons uncle has died everybody is crying but what the @#%, theres' a jolly fun music being played... what are those dialogues I can hear that have no relation with this movie... ? Ohhh... its from the neighbouring screen! I have been to atleast 7-8 other multiplexes in this country I have never heard of such a thing... whatever happened to sound proof walls?! Sounds from outside CANNOT AND SHOULD NOT enter the hall!!!!

Some words for the food, etc. Its normal... nothing good / bad about it. You can get normal Coke-chips-popcorns over there. But you expect MORE from a multiplex.

The only good thing about Innovative Multiplex is that it has got no competition so Bangalorians have no option but to visit such places. You get many choices to watch any movie, you can get tickets very easily. No chances of your Girl Friend getting angry over you if you do not get tickets for one Movie you can always see another one without changing plans drastically.

Somebody... noted that its seats a spacious and comfy... I agree they are... BUT for frigging 90 bucks ticket, they arent good enough!

AC is supposed to be OK... out 3 movies I have seen... I yet to experience it; it was switched of most of the times... and God knows why!

Anyways... I have no option now, but to see another movie... hope the management does something about it or a new multiplex comes up in Bangalore. Amen.
