Infosys = a very good company, which has come up from humble yet strong roots. Narayan Murthy, Nandan Nilekani and their colleagues have steered the company in an excellent way and putting company first above their personal interest.

You rarely see such kind of generosity from businessmen. The fact that they do not hold too much wealth themselves (as percentage of company's wealth) is indication of this. And the company is indeed driven by values. They can even fine one of their most high-ranking employees for forgetting to declare he is insider with regards to stock.

Top people associated to Infy, are themselves stars in various fields. No need to mention about Narayana Murthy, you also know Sudha Murty's (not Murthy!) contribution to social welfare programs (and writing thought inspiring books).

Do you also know Nandan Nilekani has learnt Hindustani Classical Music!! Anyways, personal talent apart Infy is indeed powered by intellect and driven by values. Am not saying everyhing is hunky dory in Inosys - there definitely some challenges; and in current high-inflation period, when markets are going thru difficult phase, obviously employees and Infosys' client must be feeling heat.

But Infy has maintained itself well even in difficult times. And its the difficult times when the real character becomes apparent!!And its only the stong roots that weather a storm!!
