Never Again with Infibeam and Mitashi!

One day after placing the order in Infibeam(Mitashi Game In Console) on 24th Feb 2014, I have seen the reviews against Infibeam on MouthShut.com.(https://infibeam.com/SDP.action?catalogId=P-M-GH-Mitashi-Game-In-

I got worried and called up Infibeam and asked for the delivery. They replied as they will ship by five days from order placed. But it hasn't happened by by 5th day. Then after repeated follow up calls I received the item on 10th day.(from Ebay and Flipkart. I have experienced that you will receive the  item by 5th day after placing the order).


On the same day, when I checked the item, it was not working. I tried all the possible solutions in user manual but realized that I received a defective piece!


I called up the customer care right away and registered the complaint and asked them to take it back and do a refund or replacement. The next day they contacted me and asked me to send the photos of item received. I send it and no response for two days. I contacted them and got the reply as their technical team will contact me. I asked them to take the item back and replace it for which they are saying that they don't have such policy!(Ridiculous)!


Their technical person contacted me and his suggestions also didn't work out. After a day, I got a call from support team asking me to take the defective item to any service center!(After paying money, I have to take the product directly to service center to make it working. excellent is it?)


The customer support people seems to be irritated when I asked them to take it back and replace which  is what normally online shopping firms do. They stick on to the saying that they don't have any such policy.


As there was no option, I had to take it to service center to make use of money I spend on it. At Mitashi’s service center it remained unrepaired for two weeks. After several follow up calls with them, service center people finally said that they are not receiving the spare parts/program from company even after multiple requests.(Horrible service centre experience with Mitashi).


Then again I had to make several follow up calls with infibeam customer care for which they keep saying they will get back to me. And after one month of continuous follow up calls, finally they agreed to take back the item(which would have done immediately after I registered the complaint. waste of time, effort and money for me)


They arranged the pickup and I send them back the product thinking that they will immediately do a replacement or refund. After that, again no response from them for another week. I have to start the follow up calls for which they said, their technical team is investigating and will get back to me.


No news for another two days. Again I keep calling, and finally after two weeks, I got a call from them they will do a replacement for the item and cannot do a cash refund. I had to agree with that even though I have lost complete interest with Infibeam and Mitashi's product.


Finally, after two months of continuous effort, I received the item in which all the other items are working except the karaoke microphone. From the previous experience with Infibeam and Mitashi’s service center, I don't want to spend another enormous amount of time, money and effort for that.


The product is ok for a child who is below 8 to 10 years and if possible spend a bit more and go for Sony PS2 which would be worth and hassle-free.


Bottom line: - Never again with Infibeam and Mitashi. My experience is Infibeam doesn't respect your money and time. I would not suggest purchasing from Infibeam however low is the cost of product compared to others. I had purchased two electronics items from ebay and flipkart between these times.


Moreover, I did a review for that product I received in infibeam site and they are not displaying it along with that product. The review section still says'be the first to review'.
