It seems not much has changed at infibeam. I had stopped buying goods from infibeam due to couple of bad experiences in the past. Recently I thought of buying an item and see if the services have improved. However, I am shocked to know that things have gone from worse to worst.


Recently I bought HCL ME Topper D1- 48 Educational Laptop(Multicolor) order id-18706294, purchase id- 9820144 worth Rs. 1999/-+ Rs.199/- shipping costs, as a gift for my niece. The order was delivered well in time but the packing was horrible and the box itself was in broken condition and inside components were not wrapped in a plastic bag as is the usual practice in case of electronic items. Which raises a question whether the product is new or used? Moreover, the box mentions the "Contents" - educational computer, warranty card, user manual, trouble shooting card, and HCL scholar contest coupon. However, except the computer, the box does not contain rest of the things, namely, user manual, warranty card, trouble shooting sheet, and HCL scholar contest coupon. This fact also confirms the doubt whether the item is new or old. Are they not supposed to check the condition of packing and its contents before they ship it to the customers?


As soon as I opened the flimsy packing, I realized the above mentioned problems and tried to get in touch with customer care, which also turned out to be hell of a problem, must have spent at least an hour and 30-40 bucks on being kept on hold.


The person with whom I talked says that we do not provide user manual and warranty card? Is it not funny? When I mentioned that it is part of the content in the box, he says I should send the snapshots, another funny thing, then only they can resolve the issue. Anyway, I have sent the snapshots but one thing is certain that I have completely lost faith in Infibeam.

Per our telephonic communication regarding the order ID 18706294, the box of the product got damaged in transit; however, the product stand in working condition and functioning well. As you have agreed for the score credit of the 10% of product price, we'll be issuing the credit by today EOD, which you can use in your future order with us.
Further, we have raised your issue to the management of the concern department to get the missing documents issued on priority i.e. warranty card and user manual, it may take some days to ship the document, since we would be procuring the same form the vendors. We will be taking constant follow up with the vendor, to ship the documents at the earliest.
