I wish I saw the reviews here before placing my order here. I placed an order for an electric sewing machine on Dec 12th and noticed that the order status changed to something like "inventory reserved" but it didn't ship until Dec 16th.


As of Dec 21st the has not reached even the intended destination city (Hyd) while it was supposed to be delivered by Dec 19th.


The tracking link that they provide for DTDC doesn't even work, but I could go to the DTDC main site and look up tracking and all that I see is that it shipped from New Delhi with no intermediate check-ins.


I always found DTDC to be a terrible courier and Infibeam gets -ve points for both using their service as well as taking 4 days before shipping the item out (even though they have the item in stock).


They also get extra -ve points for not replying back to my email sent on Dec 15th. I am never ordering anything again from them.


Update: Just learned that they did give Dec 26th as the target delivery date as part of the checkout process and later as part of the order confirmation email, but it is somehow not very noticeable.


I did get a good experience from their phone support (unlike my emails which were never replied), so based on these facts I am adjusting my rating temporarily, but I would rather see this date as part of the item description or prominently as part of the shopping cart itself (like how Amazon does it).


I will revisit the rating once again after the delivery date is past.


Update(7/1/15): I got the package delivered on 30/12/14(it arrived on 25/12, but I was out of station) and when I opened the package, there was a damage to the plastic. I immediately set it aside, and logged a complaint with them.


They asked me to send them the pictures of the damage, so I sent them a few pictures and a short video clip. The issue now is that as of today they are still investigating the complaint. They are extremely slow and the experience has been very bad so far.


They don't have a toll free number of online chat, so you have to call what seems like a mobile number at our cost, but the line is often very unreliable.


I was once put on hold for about 10 mins and the call got disconnected. I was hoping the rep. would call me back, but I guess that was too much to ask, so I just sent them an email and as usual they took very long to respond.


I will update again once I get a resolution on this, but for now, I am lowering a star.
