There used to be a ticket booking service in New Delhi called ''Interactive Media'' which was taken over by the Star TV Group now called ''Indya Tickets''. This service allows you to book tickets both online and through phone. After 2 successful attempts at booking tickets over the phone where delivery was made well in time and the service courteous, I had a harrowing experience the third time. Though I would not blame the service right now and would like some more time to evaluate it, I thought MouthShut should be the first to know. The third time, we booked tickets for one Friday 3 PM for ABC Cinema Hall. I was told that the tickets will be delivered on Wednesday. We kept waiting till Thursday morning when we called them. They said they will make the delivery by Thursday evening by 6PM Or latest by Friday (the day of the show) at 10 AM. On Friday 10.10 AM , I called them up and they gave me a flat reply without caring for how it might affect my schedule. Without going into the details, Indyatickets rep. replied that they have 2 non-delivery receipts from the courier company and that they cannot deliver the tickets now. They asked me to go to their office and collect it. What?!? No Alternatives. No effort on the Customer Rep's part to compensate. No effort to win the customer back. Is this the kind of company that Indya.com(Now Star TV) has taken over. The process (this is what a very excited Ms. Customer Rep told me herselves) - ''Sir our process is very automated and we can not do any mistake.

When you book the tickets, we key all your information in an Excel Spreadsheet. After that we book the tickets and ask our courier wala to deliver it. Our courier wala leaves at 8 AM from here and makes the deliveries and its only after 10-11 PM in the night that we come to know whether the tickets have been delivered or not. So if a client calls us on that day, humne bol bhi diya to kya hua. Ab hum aap ka vishwas karen ke apne trusted courier wale ka'' - O My god.... will I be able to recommend this service to you guys. I wonder... No doubt that this is a very unique concept and a convenient one where I could book the tickets to be delivered but if you have promised your girl that you'll pick her up at 4 PM to go watch a show at 6 PM, do not bank on Indyatickets. You might not have the tickets in your hand till the last hour.

Its a tricky game out there. To be fair, I will try them once more but one thing which is confirmed is that they do not have an effective customer cell in place. Nothing ''WOW!'' about it.
