I would like share my experience with you all towards the IndusInd bank Lockers opening process and the pain customers have to digest. I saw a “LOCKERS AVAILABLE” board posted at IndusInd jakkasandra Bangalore branch and approached bank executive for the same. Very first time they guided me to open a bank account with the balance of INR 10, 000 and lockers would be INR 15, 000 so that bank can deduct the rent amount annually. I agreed upon this and opened the bank account.
At that time they did not mention anything about how much extra money I need to invest in order to open a locker. I followed up with them and they procrastinated saying executive is in touch with manager on this since I denied to invest a single penny since bank did not speak to me this initially before opening an account. I keep calling then Monday/Friday to see what is the status and at the end 2 months passed but I could not see any action or any response on the same. Now they are saying to invest INR 25, 000 for the insurance without that they will not process my locker.
I really do not understand why bank does not inform customer before opening a bank account on this that they need to invest this much money (HDFC/ICICI banks are at least good in this since they tell you very first that u need to invest this and that much amount) without witch bank can not proceed with the locker facility.
I understand IndusInd bank needs to make more customer and one of the fastest growing bank but it would not persist unless and until bank does not treat customers in a professional manner and BE TRANSPERANT well before the customer has to insist in closing the relationship with the bank.
