OK the school has fantastic buildings - but that is about all. I was posted in Bangalore for two years and my two daughters went to Indus for two full academic years and I would like to share my experiences.
The lies start from day 1. Check out the numbers in terms of staff student ratio. Yes it represents all staff including nn teaching, admin, clerical etc. The student teacher ratio is not what is claimed.
More worrying is the teacher attendance - yes teacher not student attendance. Teachers regularly miss lessons one even suggested that the student should go and get her from the staff room incase she forgets.
The Parent teacher association is a puppet of the school. The election process is far from democratic and parents don't have a voice.
Any non curricular achievements are not as a result of Indus - it is the effort and commitment of parents that produces these results.
Syllabus is not covered in core teaching time and children are given homework during holidays on topics not taught in school - selfhelp is the school motto. I raised the issue of syllabus not being covered and requested the forward teaching plan. Having got nowhere with the MYP head or the deputy head I requested a meeting with the head with 5 weeks notice. I phone to confirm the meeting before I got in the car for 1.5 hours when I was told she was not available. In fact, I was told two different lies by the staff. I lost my temper with the deputy and this was escalated to the CEO whose ultimeate attitude was - if you don't like it, take the kids out. This actually became the theme for any issues raised.
The school is nothing but full of pomp. Serious issues such as children hitting another are denied. Teachers hitting children are denied. One child actually had his leg broken during a ritual birthday bump session - we hear no mention of this but the admin staff do carry around safety pin to enfore hair discipline.

P.s Do not judge the good reviews you read - they are more likely to be planted by the school.
