When God was creating the civilization, he wanted a city where people live in harmony and enjoy the life to its full and then the almighty said LET THERE BE INDORE.
Indore is arguably the biggest and most fascinating city of Madhya Pradesh. Though it is not as big as some of the other cities in India, it is the culture and the people of Indore who make all the difference.
Meet thy People: The people of Indore, the only species of such kind in Universe. They are ever ready to help, with a big smile on their face for always. However this species is Epicurean by birth and takes great pleasure in eating Pohas, jalebis, chat, gol gappe, gulab jamun and many other dishes at Sarafa and 56 Dukan(Read it in Hindi). And for catering to the food needs of this species, one can find the poha, jalebi and tea shops spread around every corner of the Indore.
Meet thy Culture: The Malwa culture is predominant in Indore, though the city is cosmopolitan and you can find people from every corner of India. It is still not affected by the westernisation and maintains its old culture and people take pride in it.
See thy Monuments: Indore is one of the oldest city too. It has a long proud history which is visible from the palaces and temples. viz. Rajbada, Lal Bagh Palace, Chhatri and many more in and around Indore. Located in Indore is the Bada Ganesh Temple which has the tallest Lord Ganesh idol in the world. Apart from the places of historical importance their are places for interest to all age groups like various water parks, amusement parks, and places to eat like Chokhi Dhani, Nakhrali Dhani and many more. Just be there and enjoy!
Know they eminent People: Indore was, is and will always be associated with some of the great people of the history like Devi Ahilyabai Holkar, Tukojirao Holkar. And for those who don't know, Indore is the birth place of the Melody Queen Lata Mangeshkar and the Wall of Indian Cricket Rahul Dravid.
In all Indore has many things to boast about and the people of Indore take pride in it. You need to visit Indore to feel it. I hope that Indore remains the same always.
