Mouth wide open....


Yes this is one site , you can say is mouth wide open.


What do I mean by that ?


I mean this site , is one of the most pathetic, slow, error prone site in the history of Indian Internet arena. They can only talk big with their mouth wide open , having the help of print media from Times of India.


Most of the Indian sites have got a disease of boasting things. Rediff.com is the only site, which talks less and acts faster. Most of the site are just a blant copy of Rediff.com.

Managed by india's biggest print media player the Times Group, automatically gets wide coverage as far as advertisement in Newspaper. Its one of the worst service displayed by TOI. I recently gave maximum marks in one of my review to TOI as far as the paper is concerned. Because TOI as a newspaper is definately good.


Indiatimes since the day it started was bad, whether you take the technology or the content. But everyday in the front page of TOI you will have the advertisement of Indiatimes boasting of the fast search.


I being a net crazy man, didn't want to just go for a joy ride by these flashy advertisement.

I tried some test and obivously what was the first thing I got was an http error. This has been happening with me whenever I try my search on Indiatimes. No doubt they are using google to perform the web search. I felt 123india.com and rediff.com was a better search engine as far as India is concerned.

Man talk about this and nothing can beat rediff.com. Even international players like hotmail and yahoo go way behind. Indiatimes email is really slow. I tried to upload a 45kb attachement and had to wait for full 5 mins. It was really frustrating.

Worst gets worst here. This one of the most outdated section of Indiatimes.


I had to go for a movie at Vashi, Newbombay and it has got 2theatres Meghraj and Meghdoot . Meghdoot was under renovation. I went to the site and checked out the movie playing, and it showed me Jungle was being played at Meghdoot. Being a New Bombiate , I know about it, imagine a person who is new to New Bombay.. ''Its really Sad''.


Never even think of going to this section and planning your day as you may be suprised to see the result.

As Amrita had described about trying to reach the staff at Indiatimes..


Similar kind of Experience.


My friend had joined lycosasia, India operation and was looking for the local content and approached Indiatimes and he really had a bad experience. He was made to wait 3hrs at the office and then was said that the concerned person is not available. That's absolutely ridiculous. I don't understand what do these guys from Times think of themselves.


They are the most unprofessional company, I have ever seen.


Then, I wanted to inform about their site being down, and sent a email to them and you know what was the reply I got....


'' Please don't waste yours and our time because our site is running properly and there is no problem.''


This was absolutely shocking for me. This is not what a customer service is all about? Even if the site was not down from their side, they could have been polite with me.

If your planning to visit the site, then don’t even think of as you may be really disappointed.


TOI should not put their legs in everything otherwise, they are gonna mess up their image.


JUST GIVING FLASHY ADS AND COMPARATIVE PROPAGANDA DOESNT WORK, BECAUSE HOW EVER BIG ADS YOU GIVE, CUSTOMERS ARE GOING TO CHECK THE SITE ONCE AND WILL NEVER COME BACK IN TURN LOOSING CUSTOMER AFTER CUSTOMER..


All the portals in India should remember this thing….


1 -->10-->100-->1000-->10000-->…and so on


Means, if they losing 1 customer than in turn they are losing more than lakhs customer in chain.
