Have bought stuff using cash on deliver option. Works good.
I tried my luck too far when I actually placed a Rs.3500 order with them. That was 13 days ago, Amount was credited from my card instantly. Still no clue about the shipment.
Customer care is pathetic. Phone lines perpetually busy.
Email response time: 28 hours.
Although they had shipped to me twice before on COD terms(cash on delivery) , on the same shipping address. this time they want a confirmation of address :)
Every two days I get a new mail: ''since this is a very high value order please re-confirm your shipping address''
Question: why didn't they confirm payment and address together?
This happened 4 times :( over 10 days.
Next, they'd send me a mail saying please retype your address and LANDLINE phone number in reply mail to confirm. We do not entertain cell phone number :(
Yessir, I confirmed.
Two days later when I called them. They say, we haven't got your confirmation!
I refused to give further confirmations.
Guess why the call center person told me he does not have a confirmation?
Another executive who opened my confirmation mail probably saved it in his own archive. And these chaps do not keep track of customer interactions :)
If Rs. 3500 is such a big amount for them that they do not ship, good I did not order something more valuable.
Not to forget, the friend for whom I had ordered the gift, has flown off :(
Long and short of the story is: BEWARE. It's your hard earned money.
