Worst Online Store; Unfair Business Practices

Indiaplaza.com is India's worst online store. They are using "India" in their store name and by their acts they are spoiling image of the Country as well overall Indian E-commerce market.


I have ordered a book through order no. I26061264402 on 26th of June 2012 . Order was processed and I have got message that book will be shipped in 2-3 days(i.e before 29th of June 2012) and tracking information will be send to your email and mobile. But on 29th of June I have got message that because of unforeseen reasons shipment of book will be done by 4th of July. I have talked three times to their third class customer care executive and every time they shamelessly lied to me by saying that "your order will be shipped by this evening" . Now on 4th of July one more irresponsible customer care executive name "Parashar Nath"(he introduced himself by this name) of Indiaplaza.com told me that book is currently out of stock and in next 24 hours your order will be cancelled , when I asked him that when will you refund my money (Rs 700/-) he blatantly told me that "Amount will be backed to your account in next 7 to 10 days".


Let me know that




  1. If book was not in their stock why they did not mentioned it with listing, instead they displayed the expected shipment in next 2 to 3 days. Unfair business practise number 1




  2. If book was not in their stock why they processed the order. Unfair business practise number 2




  3. If they already know that the book was not in their stock why they hold my for almost 8 days and further they are planning to hold my money for next 7-10 days (which according to them required to refund me). Unfair business practise number 3




  4. Since they did not deliver me the book on time I have suffered professional and economical losses , are they able to compensate these loses.




  5. They harassed me for more than 8 days by giving wrong answers and informations, irresponsible behaviour.




  6. I have called four times to customer care executive on their STD Number from my mobile which costs me more than 90 Rupees.




  7. This transaction at IndiaPlaza.com is nothing but wastage on Money and Time . Are they able to return me these 8 days plus time taken in refund.




  8. There are hundreds of complaints already filed against this IndiaPlaza.com on many on-line forums and I have also read reviews about them on Mouthshut.com itself after this incident. I conclude that this the worst on-line store in India shamelessly using unfair business practises, expert in customer harassment. displaying wrong information about products on their website.






I am thinking of taking this issue and complaints filed by other people to the Ministry of Information Technology and Cyber Police so that they (IndiaPlaza.com) will not try again to waste the time and money of other people.

The book “Birds Of The Indian Subcontinent” is out of stock and we have tried our level best to see how fast we can get the order replenished.
Post checking on all possibilities and option we conclude that we cannot give you commitment on stock availability.
Despite our best intention to ship the order we sometimes end up canceling the order due to stock issues. The refund has been processed on 6th July through reference # 44737454.
