This is a service that beats all other poor service websites, hands down. Products that are not actually available are sold, there is commitment to delivery that consistently is failed.
Then there is an online complaint system that does not respond, a call centre that puts you on hold for hours and a refund service that does not refund.
What it is great, though, at is charging your account for a product they will not deliver or is never intended to be delivered.
If it were possible to rate a product lower than 1 star, I would.
I ordered a book on 23 Dec. I was promptly debited over my credit card account, and notified that the book would be shipped by 26 Dec.
On 28 Dec, the website - constant in its promise - confirmed to me that the book was likely to be shipped on 26 Dec. And on 4 Jan - pole-star that it is - the website claimed they expect to ship by 26 Dec.
I filed a query on 27 Dec, seeking status. I was told I would be responded to 29 Dec.
On 30 Dec - when I checked - they confirmed this would be promptly responded to by 29 Dec.
On 1 Jan - they continued to confirm they would respond by 29 Dec.
On 4 Jan - consistent to their track-record: they confirmed I would get a response by 29 Dec.
I then tried calling them:
The average wait time - with a woman telling you sympathetically how she believes my call is important to her - is 30min. If you have the patience, finally someone will come on the line
First time round, their systems did not work, so they promised they would revert by 6pm that evening.
And they, consistent to their commitment to service quality, they did not revert.
I tried this 5 times.
Then I asked them to cancel. They confirmed they did, and they closed my complaint.
It is now 7 days, and I am still waiting for the refund.
They have, on their website, promised to revert to me in the next 2 days.....I am waiting...
