India plaza never again!


I made an order from Indiaplaza for a Phillips DVD player. I had a voucher for 200 rupees and the price quoted was low compared to the other sites and so was lured into this trap. The biggest mistake was to go ahead without going through the reviews. The site says the product will be shipped in 7-14 days. I made this order on Dec 23, 2011 and I dint hear any news about the same even after 2 weeks. When I called the CC they simply say "it will reach you tomorrow" and this answer repeated almost every time. I opened a ticket on their site and still no action or anything of that kind.


On one occasion when I called CC the lady told me that the "concerned person" is not available and I would get a call from him which never happened. After few days, after being so frustrated, I simply called the CC and asked for cancellation of the order. The CC agents are least bothered even when I say that I would cancel and expressed no remorse. Even cancellation status was not updated after a week.


I was told by the CC that the refund would take 7 days.  Finally to my relief I got the refund after many days. My money was with them for more than 20 days without interest. Now, I understand that the product might not be available, and if so why do they display it in the site? Even if they cannot ship due to any unforeseen circumstances, I would expect a  professional company to call me apologize for the delay and talk about alternatives like choosing a different product etc.


I was so frustrated and then placed an order for a DVD player from another reputed company. The product was in my house in the 3rd working day. That is called professionalism. My request is not to get lured by some free gift vouchers u get from somewhere and some low prices that are shown on the site (for that matter many such sites exist). They cannot guarantee the delivery and even do not have a professional team to handle the issues you face with them.
