I was planning to write a review on some of the restaurants at Hyderabad, but the category is not there. So I am waiting for the same to be put in.
In the meanwhile, at Mumbai I have had the opportunity to have lunch at Indian Summer along with a friend. We started with tomato soup while she went in for their special soup (its the noodle variety). The tomato soup is more sweeter than salty. So no special marks there. She of course, enjoyed the noodle soup.
We ordered for the Special vegetable -- mix veg. with cheese (white gravy). This of course was worth the try. The Sarson Saag and Makki roti ( it was her choice!), were however below expectation. One the salt was too much and the food was not hot enough. Especially,if you have to enjoy Punjabi food, it has to be hot to have its real taste.
And to my shock, there was a lot to be done for maintaining hygiene especially. Imagine, a cockroach in the pickle tray! Honestly, I have never had such an experience at a place of that level.
Well, I have had visits to the place earlier also and always came back less than satisfied. Today was the limit. Indian Summer is out of my list of rest. in Mumbai. So my call is a clear no to the place. There are be a lot of other places where you can get better food within the same price range and may be even cheaper.
