I am furnishing a detail of what I have come across with this SLOW & SLUGGISH DEPTT.
My wife had a saving account with Jabalpur HPO which she needed to be transferred at Allahabad HPO(Civil Lines).In turn she submitted an application in Allahabad HPO along with required documents on 17.06.10 which was sent to Jabalpur HPO& Jabalpur HPO transffered the account on 15.07.10 vide insured post no.

Since 22.07.10, I am regularly contacting the Allahabad HPO & till 10.08.10, it was not received at the end of dealing clerk ie Sri Harcharan Yadau.
In the present time of fast communication, what is the utility of such a SLOW AND SLUGGISH deptt.
In fact, during present time, such a poor functioning deptt. is not required, hence, may be closed as the private courier companies are much much better in delivering the dak and parcels etc. and at comparative lower rates.In present time, the deptt. with bullock cart speed is not at all required.
