I went to Indian Overseas bank with my friend for his transactions. While waiting, one of the employee came and talk to me about a salary saving account with zero balance. I thought it would be good option and so opened up a account. The employee told me some of the benefits and told the account has no hidden costs. He asked me to only do my signature in the form and attach my documents from which he will fill up my form.
Within 24 hours, my account was opened but after 4 months when I left my company and joined other where salary was directly credited to different bank, I got e-mail to keep a balance of Rs 10, 000 to be maintained each month in Indian Overseas bank. I was not told about the same while opening account. Upon contacting. The bank said that This is the general rule and that the employee must have told me. I felt cheated and fraud done to me by providing half of the information.
