Rahul Vaidya is still the Best. Review on Indian Idol

Indian Idol is coming to an end. Last two finalist Abhijeet Swant and Amit Sana. I have been watching this show right from Day one ie Oct 28 04. My folks at home used to wonder if I have gone mad, as the show was not a hit in the start. But today Indian Idol has proved its mark and has captured majority of the audiences across the globe.

Today people have started relating themselves to the singers. They feel happy when their favourite contestant wins and cry when he/she is out. And so I cried when RAHUL VAIDYA lost on 18 Feb 2005. He was the hot favorite.

The anchors Mini and Aman have been stunning. They really looked good in this show..Thanks to Globus and Roopam as they always say?. Lol. The judges were also sober. Farah Khan emphasized more on their presentation part and was looking out for the X-factor. Anu Malik was frank and blunt at times but was too good with his one liners. Sonu Nigam as usual was cute and gives sensible feedback.

Overall the judges have done a great job by selecting the top 11. Two girls and 9 boys.

Vishal Kothari was a promising singer but unfortunately had to leave first as he did not get too many votes.

Rahul Saxena sang well right from Day one and always received positive comments from the judges. He was Farah?s favourite too. However he chose a wrong song and had to leave. But he did receive a standing ovation from everybody. Farah was also in tears and has assured him that he would sing in her next movie. Nice thought Farah !!.

Amit Tandon : Well Amit was never my favourite, but had the X-factor (as Annu Malik always said). He was over all very presentable but had a ok ok voice.

Harish Moyal: The man with a Million Dollar Smile. His song Bheehe Honth ?Murder was mind blowing . But again he was not Janta?s favourite.

Mukesh Pancholi: Kya Tha Aur Kya Hogaya. His change from a simple guy from a small town to a dashing personality was amazing. He sang Allah Ke Bande so beautifully that I clapped for atleast a minute after his performance.

Aditi Paul : Again a promising singer from the East. Very bubbly and down to earth. However unfortunate. She sang the song from Pardes ? Yeh mera India with so much of depth.

Ravinder Ravi: Was a total suspense . A painter coming from a small down , not a trained singer but always tried to sing his heart out. However he started getting on our nerves after he came in the top 11 and further due to which other quality singers had to leave. Even the judges were too harsh with him later which was not fare.

Abhijeet Sawant: The dark horse and the Finalist. Mumbai ka Ladka with a cute smile.

His performance on the Repuplic Day Special was stunning. He sang Kar Chale Hum Fida from Haqueekat..super Gr8 ?Best performance of the Indian Idol show.

He loves to ride bikes and has named his bike Rampiyari. I need not speak too much about his singing cause he is the Best now. Mumbai will vote for your Abhijeet!!!!.

Prajakta Shukre: What should I say, looks good, sings well ?..Lambi Race Ki Ghodi Hai?.Way to go Prajakta?

Amit Sana: The guy with a genuine voice. He was so shy and not very confident when he first came on the show. Farah kept saying that he did?nt have the X-factor. But today he is the finalist..24 Feb is going to be a nail-biting situation for all who have watched this show religiously.

And Last But Not the Least-------RAHUL VAIDYA: The next door lad from Mumbai again. Good-looking, nice personality and a super voice afcourse. He has been singing confidently right from Day one. After his second performance Woh Thoda Bhatak Gaya Tha..that was when Annu Malik told him..Rahul Ab Zamin Pe Aaja?after that there was no looking back..His performance Mera Rang De Basanti Chola, Ehsaan Tera Hoga Mujhpar, Madhuban Main Radhika Nachi Thi was a superhit. But But But..18 Feb was not his day. He had to leave. It was a very touchy moment as he had become a part of our family. We have been watching him sing for 6 months. He cried and so did I..and I am sure all his fans also cried. But he is still the Best.
