Review : Indian Idol, I confess is one of those entertaining shows which has helped people to showcase their abilities. It has helped to bring out the talent in people which otherwise could have been hidden. Our country has many people who are good singers and also excel in various forms of art as well.
So, I have no complaint about organising such shows on the whole. But, one thing that seems very disappointing is the behavior of the judges. They have shown their worse behavior and been very rude with the contestants. I watched almost every show of the Indian idol and was very surprised to see the way the judges give their verdict.
Have they forgotten that it was because of us, the general public that they are enjoying their current position today? What they need to do is give advice and not criticize or demean the participants. Every one wants to be appreciated and likes to be encouraged about the little extra ordinary things that they can do. So, if a person cannot encourage or appreciate it is better to keep quiet rather than mouth hurting comments.
Did they ever consider the sentiments of the contestants? Are they aware that the program is being telecast throughout the world? Did they ever give a thought to the dignity of people? Its really saddening to see how the judges have tackled the situation. By the way why is someone who is renowned as a choreographer judging the best of thousands of voices? Has Sonu Nigam attained that level of perfection so as to decide who is outstanding?
There are many such questions that need to be asked to the people who have organised this mega show. Do you think they will have the answers........? I hope they would...!!!
