Education out of reach for Common Man
May 20, 2015 04:50 PM 5257 Views

Myself, a common Man from India. I want to ask you all, I know money can buy Education but can it buy knowledge too???

I am a pass out from Mumbai University in 2001 when my parents had to strive a lot to complete my education which was an Engineering degree that too on merit basis. Imagine if I had to be what i am had it been a paid seat, I would have been a different person.

Today in 2015, I saw the rush of parents running for Medical and Engineering seats for their children with lakhs and crores of Rupees in the offering. I was shocked to know that apart from scholarships, if a merit holder has to become a doctor, he has to shell out at least 50-60 lacs min to complete the course. This means a doctor can be made only if the household is semi rich or uber rich.

Educational institutions are flourishing coz we let them to. Rat race as we call for survival has energy only from Vitamin M, better known to all.

When will this system end. When will a capable person get his right to education no matter what obstacles come in his way.
