Its 35th over of Indian batting, and now my eyes are virtually in no position to witness even a single ball further. With India at the brink of the most unwelcomed collapse, I abandoned my TV and decided
to write a review (this time, coming right from the bottom of a weeping heart). Seeing the incredible performance of Aussies today, I had a somersault in my views -the first time -and Aussies credit it. They played just beyond the imagination of the Indian brigade and till the end of their batting, Indian fans had absolutely no doubts left that they were cheering the runner-up side.
If there was a single person who was left in doubt, then it was the Indian skipper, the tossman, Suicidal Ganguly, who I think might’ve realized very soon that his so-generous(or superstitious?)offer made to Ricky Ponting, was a complete flop.
Now that its all over and the ceremony has ended (just now had a glimpse of the fascinating $ 2 million cash prize being awarded to Kangaroos) its of no use to nitpick anymore. Its ok, Aussies did what the history demanded them to repeat.
They came hopping all over to SA, went knocking all over the SA, and left us hoping all along the way.
They vindicated their claim for the cup once again, leaving all the Indian fans comatose.
But I still feel no point to lament, whatever we did in the series, we did it in a best way and just in time (look, even Sachin did his best fumble today)
Well, for my deeply dejected bros and sis who still cant cope up with their grief, I can only be SORRY for u (& I am also sorry for all your crackers who didnt get any damn today)
My holy Advice - try to exclude those two yellow-blue tussles off your memory, we were always magnificent and a match was not enough to assess our prowess in the game.
BTW, no matter how much I try to console myself and others; that shining, gleaming Cup will now never be coming attached to our crew, it will just remain deeply rooted in every Indian’s heart as a melancholy memory. And when one will try reading our hearts, it’ll scream out ’’hey Aussies ! Just Wait & see ! One day we’ll make you feel like virgins at this game ’’
Jai Hind !!
