I want to share my experience with all of you about the Indian Bank. I recently went to open a SB account in Indian Bank, Chennai. I filled the form correctly. I took all documents original and photocopy. The Assistant Manager checked it. He told me to come next day though time was just 3.05 pm, Bank closing time was 3.30 pm. All the useless Bank staff were chatting not bothered about few Customers. I asked the Assistant Manager to give me official receipt for having received application for account opening. He said no need. I again told him that it is given in the form to give Customer receipt. He again insisted not required. So I had to leave with worry that these careless Bank staff should not misplace my application.
Next day I went on time, met the Assistant Manager. He gave the application to a woman clerk. She made me to wait. It was crowded.
So again I had to go request her to process the application. At last she did it. I paid money to deposit. She gave me Passbook with spelling mistakes in my name despite me giving in writing in Block letters. When I told her the fault, She did not like it. On my insisting they corrected the Name of mine took reprint in same Passbook last page and gave me. I observed the initial was not mentioned correctly. I had to leave as it was very crowded. Government bank workers are waste.
