Thought this Bank would function good since it was a government bank.I did not use this account much but since it was a secondary Account.Also this was nearest to my house so I decided to open an account in this bank.
I had to deposit payment for Credit Card, I decided to pay using Cheque.But the not so professional people at Indian Bank knew better and just Bounced cheque saying no balance in my account.Upon further enquiry I realised that my Account had a balance of Rs40000 and I was told it was simply a mistake.No apologies and no subsidies whatsoever.Now I had to pay penalty as well as interest so I asked them to make a DD free of cost this time since it was the mistake of the Bank that I was facing this issue.The manager said ok and the idiotic staff who was making the DD started blabbering about how the Bank is doing me a Favour.I said plainly if it is the Banks mistake then it has to pay it prices, stop making mistakes if you dont want to and I closed my Account soon after this incident.
Staff are worst, act like they are trying to help but in actuality they will just worsen the situation even when the bank is at fault.Even the online services provided by them are just absurd, I earlier avoided using them since there was no saying when the balance shown is updated and when it isn't.Worst Bank in India and the name itself is Indian Bank.
