A Great Show. Review on India's Best - Cinestar Ki Khoj

ZEE INDIAS BEST (not Indian Idol coz some have been confused in this two)

Zee TV?s planned to reveal India?s Best - Cinestar Ki Khoj, a talent hunt contest, which is now in its final rounds. India?s Best - Cinestar Ki Khoj was started from July 2 at 9 pm every Friday- Saturday exclusively on Zee TV.

The Zee Televisions India's Best- Cine Star Ki Khoj auditions was to be held at the Kalka Public School in Delhi on 7th June but as there was overwhelming response and the organizing committee had to call the police to control the crowd so after that Zee changed the venue and dates for the auditions. And hence auditions were held at Mittal Farms, Annuvarth Marg, between Ahimsa Sthal and Andheria Modh, Mehrauli Gurgaon Road, New Delhi, from 8 to 9 June, from 9 am to 6 pm. There were more than 20,000 boys and girls patiently awaiting their ?Big Break?.

In fact more than 8,00,000 entries have been received for the Big Break. Zee will showcase the various rounds of auditions in various cities including behind-the-scenes recording from July 2. These special episodes are directed by Gajendra Singh (Anatkashari, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa). The hopeful star aspirants from all over of the country are in the city going through the paces of acting, emoting and the works under the guidance of Kishore Namit Kapoor.

The two selected (a male and a female) will feature in a 20-crore film alongside Sunny Deol, Salman Khan and Preity Zinta. ?Besides the two India?s Best, the rest will be absorbed in supporting roles in the film projects and TV serials. India?s Best - Cinestar Ki Khoj, (the biggest acting contest ever held in the country, as the channel claims) consisted of walk-in auditions without any fees.

Judges from Bollywood and the small screen world selected 80 candidates from 20 cities from which 32 were short listed for the finals. These 32 contestants were divided into 2 groups, that is 16 contestants in Group A and another 16 contestants in Group B. Group A will perform on each Friday and Group B will be performing on Saturday. 2 contestants (1 girl & 1 boy) will be eliminated from each group on Friday and Saturday.

At beginning the judges called as Big Brothers (Satish Kaushik, Mahesh Manjhrekar, and Ken Ghosh) were doing the judgment and with these judges we can see personality like Saimak Davar (Choreographer), Vikram Phadnish (Dress Disgner), Ganesh Acharya (Choreographer), whoever have done the choreography for the contestants on the day that person too judges them but now the votes of audience matters for the contestants. Whoever?s votes will be very low that will be eliminated from the group and I think that it was the better way to judge, as there will be no partiality and neither the contestant can blame judge for the judgment.

When the contestant Nazia Khan was out from the group, that was according to the judges, mother of Nazia Khan was behind the stage and did created scene and was shouting and blaming the judges that the judgment was wrong and like that but now its ok. In fact, the audiences are those who go to buy the ticket and watch the movie and who will like the actor/ actress. So, the votes of audience are really good way to judge the contestant?s performance.

From Monday to Thursday on Zee TV at 10:00 pm they show the contestants preparing for their next show as Bollywood Dreams. On Monday the winner contestants of the groups gives farewell party to those contestants who is eliminated from the Group A & B.

On Tuesday the contestants have talk with the personality like Dharmendra, Shekhar Suman, Sajid Khan. The contestants enjoyed their time with other personalities except Mr. Sajid Khan, who were horrible. He doesn?t know how to speak properly or behave properly. Everyone gets scared when he starts asking questions, just stupid questions he asks.

And on Wednesday & Thursday the contestants are practiced for dances and acting which they are going to perform on the stage in front of the audiences and judges on Friday & Saturday. At the beginning of their show the dances was choreographed for them by Shaimak Davar, for the next show Ganesh Acharya did the job and for this week?s Friday & Saturday Mr. Ahmed Khan (Choreographer, Director) did choreographed for them.

And I must say that in the 32 groups of contestants the best dancer is Abhishek Awasthi, he is a gr8 dancer as well as a good actor also. The judges, choreographer, everyone appreciated his dancing and even the other participants are scared to dance with him, coz while dancing with him Abhishek catches the frame and other remains like unnoticed. The dance step given by Mr. Ahmed Khan was too tuff that only Abhishek did in once and was appreciated by the praising word of Ahmed Khan. But rest was also good in their dancing.

As the 32 contestants in Group A & B were divided in 16/16 (8 girls + 8 boys) in each group. But now the final show has arrived and in Group A - Mohit Chadda & Aditi Sharma is there and in Group B - Sarwar Ahuja & Shraddha Arya is left. And now these 4 contestants have been merged in one. And on the last week Friday & Saturday these 4 contestants performed their best.

They did Romantic Scenes, Comedy, Action Scenes as well. They did dances as well as Qawwalis. And on these base of their performance the audiences have to vote. And now the winner will be announced on this coming Friday & Saturday. And the remaining two will get supporting role and the winner will be doing the lead role.

They did meet with Big B. Mr. Amitabh Bacchhan and he wished these participants his best wishes. I think all might be eager to know who will be the winner and hope the best wins. It was really very sad for them who ever couldn?t make it but only 2 will be the winner so others have to be out, so that?s the rule, but they got circle of friends for whom their emotions comes out in their eyes when the friend is eliminated from the group.

But no need to be dishearten coz from out of 19,000 people they came in 32 and that?s the big thing and beside that they got to know lots of people of the film industry and they got chance to perform on stage in front of those big brothers (Satish Kaushik, Mahesh Manjhrekar, and Ken Ghosh) and who knows when the luck will knock on their door and which judge might want any one of those contestants out of 32 to take in their movies.

And there is one good news to those people who were in favour of those contestants who couldn't make it. This Friday & Saturday (3rd & 4th December 2004), all the 32 participants will be called up and out of these all, some will get award on individual category as per they deserve and I think all this participants are excited to know this and they were happy and excited for this event and I am too waiting eagerly to watch this final round.

This programme, Zee Televisions India's Best - Cine Star Ki Khoj is the place where one can fulfill their dream. And really this programme is of a standard and the host Roshan Abbas & Mallaika Arora Khan has done a great job. And the title song & lyrics of this programme is really beautiful, it goes like this:
