India, my country, my nation.a nation of inceredible potential. It sounds so motivating and so encouraging but, when we come to realities of the nation and how the common man which constitutes the maximum percentage of the nation is being treated and affected and then we are made to think, are we a nation that is developing?
Lets look at some of the issues across the country .
Nandigram issue
The Delhi clashes between DSS and the Sikhs
The caste issue between the Gujjars and the Meenas
The Mecca Mosque blast in Hyderabad
Sanjeev Nanda BMW case
and many more.
These are news item which have very cruelly indicated the picture of the nation and how politicians are the only developing individuals in the nation.
The country which has developed in the number of media channels was unable to get any news and media into the district which had the Gujjar/meenas conflict cause the killing of so many people.
It is extremely painful to see people with stones, swords and whole bunch of the other things fighting killing on the various news channels. Me being an Indian, feel rage, shame, fear and so many other emotions when I hear these kind of news.
As I see today my country, its a country of few developing cities, developing individuals, developing political parties, developing pay packages for the educated class and also a country of developing divisions, developing political powers who survive on these dvisions, developing anger, developing fear at the value of life of a common and more than anything the developing want to learn, earn and move out the country to avoid being sacrified to the beastly needs of the fanatical political powers.
At the same time when I write this I see there is hope, because there are people who want to make the diffference, there are people who want to be in India and fight the injustices by taking the bull by the horn. What we as individuals need to do is
Contribute to struggles of inidividuals by asking for quick justice and more transparency.
We need to consider every common man's problem as our problem as tomorrow we may face it.
We need to educate and make our contributions to make people literate and civilized. I think the "Each one teach one" can make a difference, provided we think about it and execute it to success.
Lets hope next time I sit to write this review .the title reads "a developed nation!"
Please share your thoughts as each new perspective adds a new dimension to the thought process.
Cheers
